Home Power Facts has no accounts, sign-ups or forms, so we never ask for your name, email or payment details. This page lists the little we do collect, and why.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and records things like the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search engine or an AI assistant), your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not combine this data with any other information about you.

You can block it with your browser's cookie settings, a content blocker, or Google's opt-out browser add-on. Google's use of the data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Request logs

To measure how often AI assistants and search engines read this site, our server records a request when it comes from a known crawler or AI fetcher, or when a visitor arrives from an AI assistant. Each record holds the page path, the time, the browser's user-agent string and the name of the referring assistant. We do not store IP addresses.

Affiliate links

"Check price" buttons pass through a short redirect on our site (/ir/) before reaching the merchant. We record which product and merchant were clicked, the page it was clicked from, and the user-agent string, with no IP address. Merchants and affiliate networks may set their own cookies once you reach their site, to credit us with a referral; their privacy policies apply there. Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell or share personal information. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months; request and click logs are kept while they are useful for measuring the site, in aggregate.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
