Rated vs. real capacity

Portable power stations deliver less than the capacity on the box. In independent tests of 14 models, they delivered 76% to 94% of their rated watt-hours at the AC outlets, with a median of 82%. The Anker SOLIX S2000 did best (94%); the Anker SOLIX F3800 delivered the least (76%).

Data verified 2026-10-18. Each measured figure links to the independent test it comes from.

EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max 2,048 Wh 1,800 Wh 88% storagereview.com StorageReview measured 1,800 Wh through the AC inverter at a 350 W load (120 V unit). The Solar Lab reports 86% inverter efficiency but gives no Wh figure.
Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 1,070 Wh 910 Wh 85% outdoorgearlab.com OutdoorGearLab measured 910 Wh out of 1,070 Wh (85%). nextpit.de measured 902 Wh; thesolarlab.com measured 87.5% efficiency at a 1,479 W load.
Anker SOLIX C1000 1,056 Wh 897 Wh 85% outdoorgearlab.com OutdoorGearLab (US unit, AC output) measured 897 Wh, about 85% of rated. ComputerBase (EU 230 V unit) measured 993 Wh at 500 W and 954 Wh at 2,000 W; the lower figure is used.
Jackery Explorer 300 293 Wh 247 Wh 84% outdoorgearlab.com OutdoorGearLab measured 247 Wh delivered (about 84% of the 293 Wh rating).
EcoFlow DELTA 2 1,024 Wh 850 Wh 83% storagereview.com StorageReview measured 0.85 kWh through AC at a 270 W load (120 V unit). EU 230 V units tested higher: nextpit 901 Wh at about 1,000 W; techtest.org 826 Wh (AC 125 W) and 903 Wh (AC 750 W). Lowest figure used.
BLUETTI AC180 1,152 Wh 950 Wh 82% outdoorgearlab.com OutdoorGearLab measured 950 Wh at 80% load (82%). StorageReview measured 1,030 Wh at a 350 W load; the lower figure is used.
Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus 2,043 Wh 1,678 Wh 82% outdoorgearlab.com OutdoorGearLab (US): 'The 2000 Plus delivered 1,678 Watt-hours (Wh) in our AC power output tests' (83% of rated). nextpit.de measured 1,892 Wh on an EU 230 V unit. Lower value used.
BLUETTI AC200L 2,048 Wh 1,680 Wh 82% nextpit.de nextpit.de (EU 230 V unit) measured 2,217 Wh in and 1.68 kWh usable. Trusted Reviews (UK 230 V unit) measured 1.77 kWh at about 2.4 kW, 1.9 kWh at 1,050 W and 1.76 kWh at 200 W. The lower figure is used. No US 120 V discharge test was found.
Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus 1,264 Wh 1,024 Wh 81% nextpit.com nextpit: 'When discharging, we finally drew 1,024 Wh from the power station' (EU 230 V unit; page now redirects, read via Wayback snapshot 2025-03-20). Other EU/UK tests: Trusted Reviews 1,052 Wh at 1 kW load (UK unit); ComputerBase 1,068 Wh at 500 W and 1,100 Wh at 1,400 W (EU unit). No US 120 V discharge test found. Lowest value used.
EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus 286 Wh 231 Wh 81% smartzone.de SmartZone measured 228 Wh at 100 W and 233 Wh at 600 W AC load, averaging 231 Wh (81% of the rating). That was the EU 230 V version (Schuko outlets); no US-unit AC discharge test found. StorageReview reported 0.43 kWh discharged, which is more than the 286 Wh rating and is not used.
Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 2,048 Wh 1,600 Wh 78% notebookcheck.net Notebookcheck drew 'a good 1,600 Wh' at a ~200 W continuous load (just under 79%), and about 1,850 Wh at 1,800 W. That was the European 230 V version; The Solar Lab (US unit) reported ~89% efficiency but no Wh figure.

The test does not state its voltage, but techtest.org is a German site and likely tested the EU 230 V unit. No US-unit test found.
Anker SOLIX F3800 3,840 Wh 2,905 Wh 76% notebookcheck.com Notebookcheck measured 2,905 Wh at a constant ~260 W load from 100% to auto-off (about 75% of rated). StorageReview measured 2.98 kWh usable on a US unit. The lower figure is used.

What this means for runtime

Divide by usable capacity, not the number on the box. A "1,000 Wh" station that delivers 82% gives you about 823 Wh at the outlets, so a load that draws 100 W runs about 8.2 hours, not 10.

Where no independent test exists (1 of the 15 models we track), we assume 80% of rated capacity, slightly below the median measured here, and label those results as estimates. Tests differ in load, temperature and test unit (some reviewers tested 230 V European versions, noted next to the figure), so treat small differences between models as noise. See the methodology.
