Specs
| Rated capacity | 245 Wh[source]Source noteManual: 'RIVER 3/RIVER 3 (10 ms UPS): 245Wh 19.2V⎓12.8Ah'. A separate 'RIVER 3 (230)' version is 230Wh. Data is for the standard 245Wh RIVER 3 (model EFR705). |
|---|---|
| Usable capacity (AC) | 203 Wh[source]Source noteThe Solar Lab: a 273 W load 'lasted 45 minutes' for 'an efficiency rating of just about 83%'. 83% of 245 Wh = 203 Wh (calculated; 273 W × 45 min ≈ 205 Wh). US 120 V unit. Other result: StorageReview 'measured the full discharge power of 210Wh' with a 300 W fan load (storagereview.com/review/ecoflow-river-3-review). |
| Battery chemistry | LiFePO4[source]Source noteManual: 'Cell Chemistry | LFP (LiFePO₄)'. |
| AC continuous output | 300 W[source]Source noteManual (US): '120V~60Hz, 300W total'. X-Boost runs heating/motor devices 'rated at up to 600W'. |
| AC surge output | 600 W[source]Source noteArchived official US page specs: 'AC Output | 2 outlets, 300W total (Surge 600W, X-Boost 600W)'. The manual table gives no surge figure. |
| AC outlets | 2[source]Source noteArchived official US page: '2 outlets, 300W total'. |
| UPS / EPS switchover | 20 ms[source]Source noteManual: 'RIVER 3 / RIVER 3 (230) The power station supports emergency power supply (EPS) with a transfer time within 20ms.' Only the separate 'RIVER 3 (10 ms UPS)' version switches in 10 ms. |
| Expandable | No[source]Source noteThe manual's full port list (items 1-12) has no extra battery port, and the specs list no expansion. Inferred from the port list; the manual does not literally say 'not expandable'. |
| Max expanded capacity | Not publishedSource noteNot expandable; no extra battery port in the manual. |
| AC charging | 320 W[source]Source noteManual: 'Maximum AC Input Power: US/JP/BR: 320W'. Archived US page: 'AC Input 320W, 0-100% in 60 min'. |
| Max solar input | 110 W[source]Source noteManual: 'Solar Input | 11-30V⎓8A, 110W Max'. |
| Cycle life | 3000 cycles to 80%[source]Source noteManual: 'The battery maintains 80%+ SoH (State of Health) after 3000 cycles at 0.5C/0.5C at 25°C (77°F)'. |
| Weight | 7.8 lb[source]Source noteArchived official US page: 'Net Weight 7.8 lb'. Manual: 'Approx. 3.5 kg (7.72 lb)'. |
| Warranty | 2 years[source]Source noteUS warranty policy table: 'RIVER 3 | 24' (months). RIVER 3 Plus and RIVER 3 Max get 5 years; the base RIVER 3 does not. |
| Idle draw | Not publishedSource noteNo independent idle-draw measurement found (searched The Solar Lab, StorageReview, PhoneArena, The Gadgeteer on 2026-10-19). |
| List price | Not publishedSource noteNo longer listed on us.ecoflow.com on 2026-10-19: the old product URL now redirects to the RIVER 3 Max bundle, and the store catalog has no RIVER 3. The last archived official page (2026-07-30) showed the bare 'RIVER 3' at $199 with a $239 compare-at price, sold out. Still sold new on Amazon by ECOFLOW Direct ($249 seen 2026-10-19). |

Runtime = 203 Wh usable (independently measured) ÷ the appliance's average draw. Fridges and freezers average their daily energy use; everything else counts as running the whole time. "No" means the load exceeds this model's continuous output or surge rating. Methodology.
Recharge with solar
Solar input: 11–30 V, 8 A, up to 110 W (XT60i).Manual: 'The solar charging cable (solar to XT60i charging cable) and the solar panel are not included'.Manual: one 'Solar/Car Input Port', shared by solar and car charging. Panels that fit, fastest first, one panel at a time; days use Dallas, TX's sun (5.4 peak hours a day on average, 4.37 in December). Two or more panels charge faster, up to this station's 110 W input limit.

Won't work with the RIVER 3 (it accepts 11–30 V, and no adapter changes a panel's voltage): EcoFlow 400W Portable Solar Panel (48 V), Anker SOLIX PS200 Portable Solar Panel (200W) (57.6 V), Anker SOLIX PS400 Portable Solar Panel (400W) (57.6 V), BLUETTI PV350 (350W Solar Panel) (44 V).
Real-world watts = panel rating capped by this input's current limit (× the panel's voltage at max power) and maximum solar input, × 75%. Peak-sun hours to full = rated capacity (245 Wh, since charging fills the whole battery) ÷ real-world watts; days = those hours ÷ peak sun hours per day. Sunnier and cloudier cities are on each panel's page; full method in the methodology.
The EcoFlow RIVER 3 doesn't take an expansion battery. None of the EcoFlow batteries we track (DELTA 2 Smart Extra Battery, DELTA 2 Max Smart Extra Battery, RIVER 3 Plus Smart Extra Battery (EB300), RIVER 3 Plus Smart Extra Battery (EB600), DELTA 3 Series Smart Extra Battery, DELTA Pro 3 Smart Extra Battery, DELTA Pro Smart Extra Battery, DELTA Pro Ultra Series Smart Extra Battery) work with it.
